"It's a beautiful Morning..."

This morning, I opened the window for my cats (they love to smell the fresh morning air.) So we were just hanging out, looking out the window and I happened to catch a glimpse at this huge spider web that was glistening in the morning sun. I thought it looked pretty, so I thought I'd share. Have a good day!!!

Cup-e-cakes (as my dad calls 'em)

Friday night was a BAD night at work. A few of us were called into a room because a mommy was delivering her baby and the shoulders were stuck. It was the most terrifying 6 minutes. With lots of help from super smart women and some help from Another, that baby came out and we were able to save it. It truly was a miracle!
I'm sure you are asking yourself, what do cupcakes have to do with that?!?! Well, if you don't already know, we nurses have ravenous appetites...we're always running around! What better way to help pass the night than to nibble on snacks? So, I made some really yummy strawberry cupcakes for my girlies at work tonight.

Garden of....ants in your pants?!

I've recently seen some pictures of people in a gorgeous wildflower field near the G'ville area. After finding out the location, I decided I wanted to take some cutsie pictures there. As the rest of you Floridians know, the month of May has been pretty hot and we haven't had much rain, so I wanted to hurry up and get there before the flowers all died. So, when Steve and I had free time, I gathered up my camera, tripod, props, and Steve (who was such a great sport!) and we took a little trip. Of course, on the car ride there it was pouring! But, the sky looked clear in the direction we were heading, so we just kept driving. Luckily, the rain had somehow just skipped over that little field and it was nice and dry for us to play in. As you can see in the pictures, we did wait a little too long in the month to head down there, most of the flowers are all shriveled up and dry...there's always next year! We also had to dodge tons of fire ant mounds (hence, the title.) All in all, I think I got some pretty awesome shots.

Steve's Graduation

Phew! It's been a while since I've posted anything! On Saturday, May 2nd, Steve graduated and was officially deemed Dr. Fernando! =) He was so cute in his cap and gown! His family wasn't able to make it because they had attended his doctoral defense in March. But, I took lots of pictures for them all! Steve posing before graduation

Steve was caught on the camera! Look at that smile! =)

There is a Doctor in the house!

At 2:00, Steve presented in front of his family, friends, and colleagues. I have to say...he was thoroughly impressive. After his presentation, everyone but his committee members were to leave so they could evaluate him and tell him whether or not he has 'passed.'....Well, I just got the phone call that Steve has passed. CONGRATS DR.STEPHEN FERNANDO!!! I am so very proud of you. <3
